Somebody test the water in Los Angeles. USC and UCLA losing at home as huge favorites on the same night. To be fair, Notre Dame showed signs of life in the 2nd half against Purdue last week. I am sure Lou Holtz will be talking about their revived BCS bowl chances now.

Well lets put it this way. I've watched every snap of a USC football game for the last 4 seasons. I've seen true number 1 teams, I've seen this team. We are not #1. I watched oregon-cal last week and saw 2 teams better than USC currently.

I hate USC, with a passion, but they have a very very very good team, but they always, ALWAYS take bad teams in the pac-10 for granted. It happens every yr, sometimes you escape, sometimes you don't, but you really don't have any excuses.

Why were the Illini a 3-point favorite today over a fifth ranked team (Wisconsin)? Because the system is flawed. You can't go down if you win, basically, no matter how bad you win.
