yeah but howru gonna get depth if youre playing a super station (which you will most likely encounter at the lower levels). We all know how to beat those.
Whats interesting is how to gain an edge vs. solid 3betters, tight OOP players and frequent button raisers.

I didn't want to make a post in the main forum so I figured I'd post here. I used to play a lot of NLHU sng's on stars and tilt, although at the lower limits never above 33's. I never took the time to really post or study poker and since the UIGEA was passed I am not a winning player, mostly due to tilt. I am looking for any suggestions or ideas on what to do to really start over and begin to understand the game of heads up poker.

You can talk about decisions and hand ranges and likely player actions against anybody.

Sometimes it's even harder to make thin value bets against players at the lower levels and everybody's leaks definitely carry over into any level of game. I doubt people, including me, are making perfect decisions every hand of every game, regardless of level.

That being said, yea I definitely would rather see a 55 than a 5 dollar game, but I think what he goes over and the amount he talks about is more important than if the game is a 22 or a 110.

My first day on FT begins in about an hour, or however long it takes for the cobwebs to clear out of my brain.

-- What level should I start at to guarantee I have fish?

I am so used to looking left and right, I don't know what will happen when I start to look up and down, hopefully this new motion won't disturb my brain functions or cause extra-ordinary eye-strain.

Brag: Rakeback yo!

Beat: $1 a day.

Variance: I feel the urge to play cash games.

Outrageous swing: Limit anyone?

It is possible for a player sitting out to beat someone who is actually playing and knows what they are doing.

Although it is incredibly unlikely, it still scares me.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $6 BB (2 handed) Poker Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

Hero ($2021.50)
Button ($626.50)

Preflop: Hero is BB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
Button raises to $20, Hero raises to $90, Button calls $70.

Flop: ($180) K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, Button checks.

Turn: ($180) 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, Button checks.

River: ($180) 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets $126, Button calls $126.

Final Pot: $432

I hate those guys. Not because he sucked out, but because he didn't raise the river. He thought a lot before calling the river (obviously he was thinking whether to raise or call). Why you wouldn't raise there? After he took so long, I thought I was betting thin for value, but then he just called and showed a set of fives. Guys like him don't deserve to live.
