I was trying to think of a Nintendo game the other day, but couldn't remember which one it was. Maybe OOT can help me. It was a third person shooter game that took place like in the wild wild west and there were wanted posters and stuff. The game was somewhat similar in look and play to Commando. I couldn't find it on the emulator, either. Anybody know that one?

nath - awesome re: faxanadu. i got past conflate, but i just don't remember ever beating the final boss. maybe i did. i know i went back to that first store at the beginning of the game to get death. i said baseball simulator 1.000 - still play it w/ my brother when he's around (tho the red team is rigged - 150 points wtf) how did i forget bionic commando? and why did people think this game was super hard? i must've had a cheat guide to it - it wasn't that difficult for me. maybe if you are a super nerd like me and spent a half hour on the first level killing paratroopers for more life blocks. little known fact about Bionic Commando - thanks wikipedia: The original Japanese version of Bionic Commando placed the character in a battle against futuristic Nazis. The final boss was Adolf Hitler, who had been resurrected by evil scientists. All references to Nazism were removed from the American release: the swastikas were replaced by albatross figures, the enemies were renamed from "Nazis" to "Badds" (though the backstory in the instruction manual referred to them as Nazz) and the overall difficulty of the game was reduced. The final boss's name was changed to "Master-D", but he still clearly resembles Adolf Hitler. There is a notably gory ending sequence in which he is shot in the face, which was kept intact in the American version; an unusual move, considering Nintendo of America's heavy censorship issues at the time. All these changes remained for the European version, but the game manual still mentions Nazis. Level 5 (I think- the one where you scale the castle wall, anyways) completely tilted me. EDIT: Actually, all the music was really good, come to think of it. I need to pull this one out; I think I still have the cartridge. |

[/ QUOTE ] Actually i can`t remember if there were several ways to do it on purpose, but i do remember a large amount of heel supershots (maybe just the germans or something). I played like a million matches against my cousin, and the best part was when you manage to save the supershot and the keeper just died, the eyes popping out an all. You could also do this with a field player when some of the slower supershots were charging, you manage to block it with a kemikaze move. Or what about the way they pictured all nations in an absolute cliche way, haha that game was great. |

[/ QUOTE ] Wizards and Warriors was mentioned. That red knight can DIAGF. Clash at Demonhead was a good one. Pretty sure I had a cheat guide to that one or it would've been a hell of a lot harder. Speaking of Vic Tokai games, anyone ever play Golgo 13? and a more obscure one - Solar Jetman? That game had the most meticulously constructed music of any Nintendo game. |

I've played Golgo 13-- I thought it was pretty cool and the kinda game that could be included for its uniqueness, but it didn't seem to drum up too much support.
Solar Jetman always looked really cool to me, but I don't think I ever played it much. Maybe I will! |

ALl I remember was it was a shooting game with an aerial view made by Broderbund. Wasn't particularly challenging but I remember it being a lot of fun with 2 players. |
