Re: ferguson from 12k to 26k
Barry G 'shortstacks' bigger games never for less than 50% of the max buy-in and stays in the game as long as its good. Ferguson buys in for the minimum whenever he can and ratholes as often as possible.
One is a way of exploiting site rules to your benefit when you lack postflop skills. The other is a way of getting in cheaply, checking out the game and possibly building a big stack off a small investment. Can you see the difference? |
Re: ferguson from 12k to 26k
it's a shame that ftp endorses ratholing. a real shame.

whenever he sits @10/20nl with me, I tell the railbirds that if I stack him, I will give out his stack to the rail- its not a lot of money, and its a joke that a "pro" acts like he does. if he was decent @ poker he would just grind lower stakes and win with ease. THATS bankroll management, not shortstacking higher limit games. [/ QUOTE ] So some of you High stake players actually gives away money to railbirds when they starts begging for money? Pathetic imo. |
