I, too, could see Diablo having a couple of non-bluffs that don't beat TT here (99/88), as long as he can have those hands given his pf action (Strassa claims he can't).

He could have it preflop. Strassa is just saying he isn't going to CR turn with them.

I only played with Diablo briefly, but he didnt seem to play that tricky/wildy. I think you are almost always up against a Ah/Kh or QQ-AA.

Diablo is expecting you to try and steal on this turn so betting is a mistake. I like checking it, then maybe you get him to call off some money when he is behind on the river, and if a heart falls and he doesnt have a heart it should still go check-check.

Also, reraise pre-flop, I think it will make things easier.

agree 100%. and that's not a knock: diablo usually gets his money in while having the best of it. that's still a good thing, right? seems like a lot of ppl here would rather be thought of as "tricky" instead.

Strassa,

According to rumors, GoG and Mahatma are both busto and out of the game. I'm still kickin' baby.

Why haven't my sources mentioned this?

The hand range I'd put Diablo on here would be 99,88,66,44-flush draw, open ender.... OR AA,KK,QQ,JJ, str8flush draw and possibly 77,33. Its pretty close here, but I think I call believing he's pushing me around here more often than not. You could very easily be making a position call on the flop hoping to take the pot from him on the turn w/ many marginal hands.

Here is a tentative pokerstove simulation:

Board: 7s 5h 3h 5c

equity
.46 { TcTd }
.54 { 77+, 6d6h, 6h6s, 55, 33, AhKh, AhQh, AhJh, AhTh, Ac9c, Ah9h, Ah8h, Ah7h, Ah6h, Ah5h, A4s, Ah3h, Ah2h, KhQh, KhJh, KhTh, QhJh, QhTh, JhTh, 8h7h, 7d6d, 7h6h, 7s6s }

If you take out 99/88(El Diablo says he wouldn't take the line in OP with those hands):

Board: 7s 5h 3h 5c

equity
.36 { TcTd }
.64 {TT+, 77, 6d6h, 6h6s, 55, 33, AhKh, AhQh, AhJh, AhTh, Ac9c, Ah9h, Ah8h, Ah7h, Ah6h, Ah5h, A4s, Ah3h, Ah2h, KhQh, KhJh, KhTh, QhJh, QhTh, JhTh, 8h7h, 7d6d, 7h6h, 7s6s }

You need .37 equity to call, so based on the second simulation you should fold.

Hi Jeff,

equity
.36 { TcTd }...You need .37 equity to call, so based on the second simulation it makes no difference what you do EV wise, so you should call for the metagame implications. .

Except for a vague reference by El Diablo, not one poster quibbled with the pot size turn bet. In spite of the fact that any basic analysis would say that in most cases the bet should be either signifcantly smaller or an outright check.
