I don't know the layout of whatever planes Southwest uses, but if it were a good idea for them to have a family area, I'd suggest that it be located relatively near the lavatory, whether it be front or back.

It's built into little kids. No matter how many times you beat them, they still kick seats.

Try something a little more vigorous then a light tickle next time.

I find it very funny that the OP thinks that women who frown at "boisterous" kids are lesbians.

I'll tell you a secret, OP: there's a whole world subculture called the childfree. Women and men who've decided that children are not worth the hassle. Some childfrees like kids, but don't want to be around them; some hate them with a passion and want to be around them even less. Some would call you a breeder, your kids breederspawn, and the stuff your carry with you breedercrap and tell you to do everyone a favor and drive, if you must travel.

So don't make assumptions. Being lesbian does not equal disliking kids.

If you read that post, I was talking about being in the street in Berkeley, not on a plane. I did not use the word 'boisterous'. And I know a Berkeley lesbian when I see one, thanks.

Maybe a stroller on the sidewalk is 'breederstuff' taking up too much room, I dunno.

Anyway, Berkeley is a bad example. It's the most intolerant liberal place in the U.S.

Try as we might, we cannot always prevent this from happening over five hours of flight time, so on this trip SWA had multiple unhappy passengers: Us, and those who had to sit in front of our 4 year-old.Good luck with your family-segregation-ghetto policy, Southwest. We will not fly this airline again.

Have any other posters with young'uns flown Southwest since this new policy was implemented? What did you think?

yeap. And we have created an Online website and a petition to let Southwest know that we are unhappy with this family segregation policy.

Oh, man. Boarding a plane before everyone isn't a basic civil right. It's a privilege. You guys are acting like they make you drink from your own water fountains.
