Re: Why would anyone want to be famous?

Many people lack internal pillars for their confidence so they seek it externally...fame is an addictive way for some to get high concentration bursts of affirmation and adulation. The problem, obviously, is that it can't be turned off and it turns out (surprise surprise) that the validation one gets isn't genuine, it's a fantasy.

In short: ppl suck at life and want many dumb things.

I would like to be rich, not famous. Or, I wouldn't mind being "famous" in an anonymous sort of way. For example, it would be nice to be recognized and appreciated for being a real expert or accomplishing something really significant, but without anyone in the genral public knowing about me. Like some sort of obscure cancer researcher or something.

Fame only sucks in those brief moments where you want privacy.

How can you determine whether you want to be famous if you aren't famous? What I mean is if you've never experienced fame how do you know whether you will like it or not. It would be nice if you if you could try out being famous for a few months and then decide whether you want to keep it or not
