Re: OT cross country trip, need your help
Ive done basically this same route 2x but farther(Eastern WA to NoVA then NoVA to Eastern WA) I mean its boring but its not that bad, though lol at doing in winter. Seattle is the best city on earth btw, I miss it:(
EDIT: Gary isnt that bad, we had our car break down there and I lived through it. |

[ QUOTE ] If you take that route, It's in snow/black ice country the whole way. I will increase by a ton your drive time, and if weather hits could easily triple it. go south young man, go south. when you get there, stay for 6 months, THEN take a northern route back. stray into canada a couple times etc. Also, if yer gonna go for adventure, ditch the rental car idea and buy a cheapo car. the rule is it can cost no more than the rental car charge woulda been. then, rule is you start off on the journey right away. no test runs, no tweeking. New tires if the ones on it are terminal is permited, but only if there is no discernable tread or there are significant cracks. If yer a nitty sorta guy you can change the oil. Have a good trip. [/ QUOTE ] Good post Jack Kerouac! [/ QUOTE ] LOL old people |

WI, MN, and ND probably would be easy unless you run into a blizzard, which is unlikely. I imagine the ugliest part of the trip might be though the mountains. I'm unfamiliar with the western part of the trip. |
