BTW I dunno if y'all care about the real world at all, but if phones just had an open Java or WinCE platform all these features and more would have been done ages ago, along with tons more.

I was about to say that speakerphone is essential for avoiding a neck cramp when you're on hold, but then I remembered that everyone except me has those little bluetooth ear things on. That they wear all day without ever taking them off. I hate those. I don't even know why I care, but I hate those things. It's like a status symbol for That Guy who thinks he so damn busy - and important. Maybe it's just me.

why wouldn't you have the speaker implant in your earlobe or ear, and the microphone in your lip or something similiar. could be as jewelery (earring + lip or nose ring) or as stealth implants. hell, you could have a speaker implant in each ear, so you have automatic stereo headphones on.
