Yeah, but his production at 1B or DH wouldn't be that great. But it would probably be better than our 1B production this year. Jeez. But I can't imagine that will continue going forward.

13m (or 13.1) per year, not 16... but I think your logic is still good. (52 divided by 4 is 13... but why should a poker player know that... [img]/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img])

its been claimed, prob on this thread, that he's a former infielder who can play 1b well, unlike Piazza and Giambi.

i read that it was reported that there were incentives (plate appearances and other moderately easy achievable goals) in the contract that bring the value of the contract up to ~60m. is it just a 4/52m deal?

hmm after checking cot's it looks like it's a regular deal. wtf where did i read otherwise

because if he's under contract he's the closer... 2010 he won't be that great (in all likely hood)
