all of you loling at $750 would probably pay that for two hours of lessons where the coach would watch you and quote some advice and tips that may well be in this book already. except you wouldn't be able to reread them later.

$750 seems steep but if its an incredible book then its a bargain.

[/ QUOTE ]

won't it be published eventually and I'll just buy it the first day it hits stores for $19.95?

the video quality is the same between DVI and HDMI. The difference between DVI and HDMI is that DVI is strictly a digital video signal whereas an HDMI cable has both audio and video.

[censored] [censored] I just got off the phone with the ps3-service: they said the hdmi-dvi switch might work with some monitors, but probably not with the dell 30'' as I did all there is possible.

job still sucks but i felt better when i decided not to bother making an effort to get to know people. [censored] pain in the ass when you have to spend your lunch 'break' speaking with people you dont know. so i've gone for the option now of not saying anything.

have to say reading this thread and seeing some of the huge wins some people make really does make me think wtf am i doing.

anyways, i wanted to make a poll, id be interested to see results.

interesting that so many expect to make a higher hourly rate so far yet about half think the games will get tighter with less fish.

why do you think you will improve significantly relatively to other regs?

given this extra profit won't come from an increase in fish, it must come from improving relative to other regs. But won't all regs also keep improving, so you'll end out with msnl tables of very good regs each fighting to sit on the table where a fish is on, and each trying to get that money.

maybe there will always be enough people losing enough money that the good players will always profit.

I think the level of skill when comparing online vs live is not even close. Live players are just terrible, plain and simple, in comparision. It really is though to turn a good hourly rate online, versus live. I know some players that just have a knack for online, and some simply cannot play live due to regional complications, etc.

But don't count live out. That is where all the worst players are playing at, not online.

Update:

Called samsung, spent less than 30 seconds waiting. The tech support guy was pretty helpful, after a few minutes of testing the monitor said it was faulty and they will be shipping me a new one. I'll get it in 7-14 business days, no way to expedite it. Still way better than most tech/customer support phone calls.
