Huh? Obviously the ACC>>>Big 10 and it's not even close, I'm just asking if those count as rivalry games.

Re: 2007-2008 CBB mechanical Home small faves System

I'm hesitant to consider E Mich as they have played Detroit three years in a row and both teams are Michigan-based...

CMU out at -5

MicroBob 11-28-2007 05:21 PM

Re: 2007-2008 CBB mechanical Home small faves System

Yeah, I can see this as being a pretty exciting non-conference rivalry-type game for both programs for area mid-major pride or something.
They aren't just Michigan-based...they are way closer to each other than that. EMU is practically attached to Ann Arbor...they are on the Detroit side of Ann Arbor actually.

Probably only 40 mins from gym to gym. And not having looked at the rosters I suspect that a lot of the players are from the same general area and know each other similar to a lot of other rivalry-type games.

It's not exactly Xavier/Cincinnati or something. But I suspect this is a semi-big deal for both of these teams.

That said, I like EMU and the MAC in this matchup anyway so I'm playing it regardless of whether it gets tossed from the home-fave system for technically being a rivalry.

Of course they count, they are not rivalry games. This only goes for Extremely Heated Rivalry games like Cinci-Xavier [in the same town, everyone knows and hates everyone else.]

Does not go for just any teams in same town. These are rare, like StJoes v Nova, not Drexel v Nova. No one at Nova cares about Drexel. In other words The Game of The Year in that town, where you'd rather beat them and lose 5 than the reverse.

Your emich and Valpo lines are off from what I posted. Don't post numbers higher than the WA numbers, Valpo is 3.5 like everywhere. In case number is 'split' we use Pinny as final arbiter.

You don't need me to tell you what to bet. It's all on the screen. No one here is going to post every game every day just for you. Just look at sbrlines.com and check location of games.

Ark is -4 at 3 books at -4.5 everywhere else. You have a whole 42 mins to login to another book. I bet you can manage from here.

there are wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy too many fouls called in college basketball. I feel like no games could really get going because of all the "chippy" fouls where there's just a little bumping. It really ruined the games for me.

NajdorfDefense 11-29-2007 02:56 PM

If available at -4.5 then yes, you know this already.

If spread is -6 everywhere but your book is -4, you would obviously bet that, right?

UCSB by 3. If you got it at 2 you won, at 3 you pushed and at 4 you lost. Most of today was >3 so we'll grade this one a loser. 16 in first half, 47 in 2ndH, yowza cold 20 mins there.
15-9 ytd.

[/ QUOTE ]

18-16-1, altho 2 losses could have been avoided depending on when/where you got it. 53% with plenty more games to go, as some days we could have 20 games.

If you pick and choose which games, you will likely do worse unless you know both teams very well. Although if a game goes from 1 to 4 I understand the reticence, but those often come in winners, see UNC 3 to -6 last nite, etc.
