I had to go to a speech therapist for a few years when I was quite young. I didn't pronounce my 'r' correctly (the word 'hamburger' became 'hambuhguh.' It took a long time but apparently it should've taken longer because I didn't get any ladies when I fixed it. [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]

Just kidding OP. I had a stutter until about 3rd or 4th grade and now it's completely gone. I can't imagine there is not something a therapist could do - even if it was putting some kind of training device in your mouth.
