Perhaps move this to Legislation. Some very smart lawyers over there.

to be fair, the pros on stox and cardrunners often play under their friends' names for the sake of the video. That's another ethical issue altogether.

i have to admit i see where the op is coming from, especially in a hu vid. this is so stupid though, if they just blocked the screen names of the players there would be absolutely no controversy

True, but in this video, Stox is playing on the Stoxtrader account.

this is an interesting topic (that has turned into a flame war sadly)

What if the site offers the videos/commentary but doesn't charge to watch the videos? Does that make it alright?

(for disclamiar purposes I'm starting a site like that..but please don't ask for the url cause that'd switch to me spamming and get me banned )

maybe cardrunners and stoxpoker should be proactive and do this before the sites step in on this?

I think its real unfair to be honest, OP has a good point.

I dont think this would be illegal, but i think it might be nice to just ask? If not then dont make the name visable on the broadcast which is pretty easy.

When people know they're being filmed they tend to do more wacky stuff though, so you don't get a realistic playing experience.
