depends where and how deep the stacks are
with good table selection in ac 25 an hour easy for a halfway decent player

It seems like this has been discussed plenty on this forum. I really don't think it matters. Anyone good enough to make 20 an hour or whatever will undoubtedly move up before they get any decent sample size.

I would say $25-$30/hr is sustainable if you're very good.

The Wynn has uncapped $1/2 right? What are peoples win rates in those games? I haven't played there yet but I would imagine a lot more tough players in those games so WR's won't be that high even though stacks are very deep. I might be wrong though, maybe some of them will spew for $500 with top pair.

I wouldn't drive 35 minutes one way to a casino 3 times a week if I was only making $16/hr. Over the past approximately 90 hours I have sustained about $80/hr

LOL, you dont even know the definition of sustain yet. Come back to this forum and report your results when you hit 3,000 hours. Even then you haven't come close to determining your true winrate.

as a mod sometimes I wonder if we should lock or move these 1/2 NL winrate threads, they tend to be filled with pipedreams and inaccuracies.

TT - can you point to a thread that has what you feel are accurate win rates for 1/2 NL? It seems to me that $20/hr is very doable, but I have no proof.

Of course you can make a lot more at 1/2 NL than 3/6 limit, but I really don't know how much. I'm pretty sure that one can earn more at 1/2 NL than 5/10 limit as well. These 1/2 casino games are really easy; it takes a long time for a bad player to make enough mistakes at limit to equal one mistake at NL.

If you tip $5-10 every hand you will probably lose in the long but don’t stiff our hard working dealers.

[/ QUOTE ]

What the freak are you freaking talking about? You don't tip $5-10 if you want to make money. You tip $1, maybe an extra buck or 2 here and there for something special. Anyone who's playing seriously and is tipping $5-10 is insane. The only players who do that are whales trying to impress someone or drunk tourists who are feeling generous because the tip looks small compared to the pot.

i tipped 20 after winning a 4k pot

FWIW, in my experience, in the northeast winrates for 1-2 are slightly less than 10-20 limit assuming you play both games very well.

My experience is the same. And it is entirely dependent on the makeup of the tables. Remember, there are mistakes that limit punishes more severely than NL, like preflop looseness. And preflop looseness is a biggie live.

A lot of recent NL structures are designed by casinos to protect dumb money for a while. Hence a 2/5 with a 300 cap or a 1/2 with a hundred. The point is to get some of the fishes money in rake before he decides to felt KJo.
