I'm sure everyone here would like the players to sit in silence. That would be awesome.

So are you saying that the only two options for a person playing poker on tv are A) say the same things over and over and bore everyone with your tired persian hipster shtick or B) say nothing?
In your mind, there are no other ways to act at a table?

i dunno, as a community 2p2 does tend to find faults with basically everyone that has a hint of personality at the poker table. im trying to think of a live player who isnt generally very quiet/reserved whose antics the majority of 2p2 enjoys.

I am not sure if you have seen Dane Cook's act but I did. When I watched on HBO it was less entertaining because it was the second time I had seen it. By nature if you do the same thing over and over and you are in the public eye it gets a bit boring. For the people that see it one time I am sure it is entertaining. If you know Antonio you know that is what he is like, it isn't some act for TV. I think if he was whoring it up for the cameras people should be upset but if you played with him today you would hear all the same lines.

And just for the record. Esfandiari is Iranian not persian,
Persia was long gone before he was born. Oh yeah, there aren't anymore Aztecs either.

Esfandiari is quality... shame too often he comes along with his ball and chain Laak.

THeir banter was amusing for a while, Esfandiari didnt used to do the "in awe" speeches that much before, Laak must have worn off on him. Antonio is much more fun on his own with his wit.

I thought the best week of PAD was the one with Antonio and Laak. Very entertaining table talk.

Ethnicity isn't defined by politicians drawing boundaries on a map. There are lots of people who trace their family history back to what is now Iran who prefer to call themselves Persian.

I'll always remember the look on a guy's face when I was a kid and said "Croatia? There's no such thing. That's part of Yugoslavia".

I don't like laak/hellmuth/madusow/ivey/harmon/etc because s/he is too annoying/gay/loud/wears weird shirts/diabetic.

Seriously, the posts on this forum sometimes are beyond stupid. No one is ever happy with anyone unless they say donkaments on television or are an original 2p2'er. If you don't like someones personality then just turn the volume off or better yet change the channel.

PS Antonio is awesome ^_^
