Does anyone agree with this:

Call flop/call turn >> Call flop/fold turn > Push flop.

[/ QUOTE ]

undecided whether I think push flop is better than call flop fold turn or worse. Both have their disadvantages. Call flop fold turn means that if his range was wide on the flop and he decides to bluff again on the turn often, then your often folding the best hand. However if you push flop he's going to have a hard time calling with JJ, but at the same time you might be so far ahead of his range that its profitable anyways.

edit: I meant calling with TT or AJ, tho if he calls with AJ but never has/doesn't call with TT that's obviously worse because you have less equity.

Yo, 51/12s don't 3-bet light

[/ QUOTE ]

Them not 3 betting light is an argument in favor of four betting not against it. We are hoping they have AQ, AJ, JJ, etc and felt it pre since villain probably doesn't have a fold button.

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't like that thinking because they're only RAISING 12% of their hands, so I'm guessing AJ and AQ are more calling hands for them. Maybe he 3-bets JJ, but prob not.

[/ QUOTE ]

How can all you guys put him squarely on JJ+,AK so say not to 4bet pre-flop and then want to shove the J high flop?

[/ QUOTE ]

It's not that his range is that narrow, but think about what hands he has that call a 4bet/shove? AJ and AQ fold prob, JJ and under fold prob. We fold out all the hands that we want in the pot by 4-betting.

Come on Corsakh, this is a bs post man.

I don't think it can be said that the "correct" technical answer to this question has been solved in this thread. So rather than the 1-liner, why not tell us the most EV way to play this hand, cause I'm pretty lost?

And an EV calc should not be hard if we assign OP's preflop range. I'd do it but have the maths of a 6 year old.

I already gave you math. There are almost as many AK combos as there are AA, KK and JJ combined. 6 outs is a lot of outs and you need protection.

Actually, I just remembered I thought about the combos of AK when I was in the gym earlier thinking about this hand.

Ok, Cor, I see that now.
