I think your checkraise looks a lot like a resteal attempt

dude i mean [censored] pot control over the whole realm of the concept. As in controlling the size of the pot to get his stack in. If he doesn't raise the flop he has no shot of getting his stack in.

Turn cr is bad this deep and you've now put yourself in a situation where imo you have to fold. Just call his turn bet or bet the turn yourself. Your line is super strong and he still pushed over top of it which suggests villain likely has you beat. The only hand I can think of where you're ahead is 9Ts and it's a stretch to assume he pushes that over your cr.

Btw, if tech has 88/77 I think this is a fine way to play it.

A call says 'I have a huge hand' too. Any smart opponent isn't putting in another dime unless he improves - unless he has AK and puts villain on AQ. Still, that's a mighty thin river vb if he does make it - if opponent is nitty.

Well it's going to be hard to stack a smart opponent here without a sick cooler regardless. I just think in general, a call here with a boat lets the check-raiser make a bigger mistake than shoving will.

How often is a Villain in this hand check-raising a made hand just to shut down when he's called? Sounds like Villain isn't too smart.
