Just about to post that. Is a wetsuit allowed?

Somebody who spoke with McCabe today expanded on my earlier update in the WPT's live coverage, but with our inconsistent internet access, I haven't even been able to read it myself. That means right now some of you reading the live updates will know more about the current situation than I do. (I'm still at the final table reporting hand-by-hand, and struggling to get the hands live on the net.)

I have heard no word on the wetsuit, but my guess is that it would *not* be allowed, and I honestly don't think McCabe is trying to angle shoot it. He has his pride on the line as much as his money.

Last we heard, the bet would start tomorrow afternoon (Sunday), during the WPT Final Table being taped here. And we *will* be providing Sean McCabe updates in our final table coverage at WorldPokerTour.com if he attempts this endurance challenge. In fact, Mark Seif will be following his progress through our site, because he'll already be on his way to Aruba.

Traveling to a WPT event or fleeing the country... you be the judge.

So, are there any serious takers out there?

[/ QUOTE ]

Is he going to be monitored 24 hours straight by a physician? Does shoulder-deep mean his shoulders cannot break the surface of the water?

If I can discuss ground rules with the doctor personally, and Sean is willing to post, I'll take 40k in action and hop on the next flight out.

(no wetsuit, obv.)

Figured I'd chime in on this, cuz I'm getting a ton of calls, etc.

I have said that I will still take any bet of 100K - 250K total... terms: 24 hours in the ocean with the water between my shoulders and chin with no wetsuit. I will be allowed air temperature water only - no food. (And yes, 2 - 1 if the waters are chummed). I can wear regular shorts, t-shirt, hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen... that's it - no angles... just a battle of will

If we get action, I will fly to Aruba and do the prop, as I am already back in Miami chillin till WPT Barcelona

Oh yeah.... I'm freerollin' it now cuz I woulda been killed last night - we were playing cash games in a room with a view of the ocean at about 1 am when ZAP! lightning hit the water right where I woulda been standing! hehe... close one...

But it's on if there's a bet! I even have Lee Markholt in Aruba trying to get enough action.

I believe I can do it, but it WILL suck (hence, the large bet). Either way, it should be interesting! Talk 2 U guys soon.

Wait, isn't McCabe also, or used to be, an Absolute Poker sponsored pro? Did you have access to the Godmode Superuser account along with Seif?

If a team gets together to bet Sean to do this Good2cu and I are interested in some part of the action against.
