limit tourneys need some work imo. have the starting limits higher in relation to starting stacks and add more levels throughout the tourney. as it is, first hour is basically meaningless unless you run super hot or super cold, and then late in the tourney everyone has like 5-10 big bets.

Agree; I've somehow made it deep in two limit events and both of them were really shallow. I'm thinking of pulling a nath and working up a new structure, but my basic suggestion is:

There shouldn't be any 50% level jumps itm, and definitely no > 50%, such as the one from 3k/6k ----> 5k/10k.

The stud event should have had 600/1200, 1250/2500 or 1200/2400, 4k/8k, 6k/12k, at the very least. Start it at 30/60, 50/100, 80/160, 100/200 and it doesn't extend it much at all. As is, the final 30 is close to a crapshoot.

It's a serious issue that has no easy answer

two things i hated:
1)the sunday WCOOP events used the sunday structure while the weekday ones used the normal structure, which works so much better with 30 minute levels in these events (1/10 antes hit much earlier, and the blinds don't DOUBLE TWICE IN THE FIRST TWO INCREASES).

on a side note this severely bothers me about the million. the structure would be infinitely improved if they started with 20k chips and made the first two levels 50/100 and 75/150. that's all you would need to fix it.

i do support two-day tournaments, though. i think part of the reason i busted out in the $500 was that i tired out. yeah, some can argue that that's a skill in and of itself, but it's online poker. [censored] nobody is in shape.

oh and the stakes doubled twice in the first two levels in the stud event, too. does anyone at stars realize "deep stacks" are a farce if you quadruple the blinds immediately?

why does it need to be a wcoop?

Just do similar events and call it something silly like PokerStars Spring Classic.

And run the Round 1 and Round 2 type step sats more often.
run these for the super tuesday during the weekend also.

I think they should keep the HU buyin at 320 since it didn't even fill this year. Adding a high stakes one on the side one day would be sweet though.
