Some personal 30-60 minute wonders (the point at which I couldn't stand them anymore and had to turn off would be Dances with Wolves, Ghandi, Lost in Translation, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Snatch, Amelie, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Garden State just off the top of my head I'm sure there are many more.

LS&2SB and Dances with Wolves? Say it isn't so! This is a really weird list. It would seem you don't have much patience for incomprehensible gibberish and subtitles

Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. They totally screwed up the book when making the film.
Douglas Adams must be spinning in his urn.

You are either joking or ignorant.

Douglas Adams wrote the script before he died and one of the few things he wished for before he died was the film got made as he tried numorous times with no success to sell the script - ironically it was probably his death which was the tipping point for it being picked up.

He also wrote the books, radio show and TV show and was clearly a big fan in adapting and changing his work for the media it is shown in.

Reality TV
Can't stand it, don't understand why other people like it

People magazine and anything else related to the lives of celebrities. Don't care, don't want to.

BTW: I liked almost all the movies and books I've seen mentioned in this thread

When you say "reality TV" are you including American Idol and Dancing with the Stars or just shows like Big Brother and Survivor?

Katy,

ALLLLL reality TV sucks, especially American Idol and Dancing with the Stars.

Its pure common denominator TV.

Are you calling me a common denominator?

Speaking on my own behalf these are included, as well as home improvement shows, model shows, shows about people losing weight, getting help raising their brats, training their dogs and a lot of other stuff.

All

Finally thought one of I don't hate, Dog: Bounty Hunter
It can be funny if I'm drunk, but I'm not sure how that show even fits into the genre.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. Let's not get crazy here. Home improvement shows? For real? I'm going to guess that you've never watched Supernanny. She's really good!

Also, I see you left What Not To Wear off your list. That's because it's good, right?
