I'm still bearish on the US$, but to answer your question:

Because every fifth post on the investing section of a poker forum is talking about how people should short the dollar? Exrates can be awfully sticky, but when everyone and their mother are crying doomesday, one is reminded of that Peter Lynch aphorism regarding your cab driver...
