Also - this guy seems ridiculously dumb. He had his company name on his truck? And sat there long enough for you to get his license plate/positive ID of him?

I would love to know if he honestly thought he was pulling one over on you when he was driving off.

...altho i've read this site for 2 years, my 2 days on here have been very educational, as in rolling down a grassy hill that was just fertilized.

Lol at picturing a "cute type" girl rolling down a freshly poop-strewn hill.

OP After viewing your pics you are clearly just too rear-endable to be driving around unescorted by a big burly male I would like to recommend myself. I am several years younger than you and I enjoy hotdogs, basketball, and mild bondage. Also I am not like these OOTians I am charming and witty. What do you say to a cup of coffee, we can just hang out and talk or whatever.

Good luck,

What do you mean when you say "my insurance lapsed for that one day"? Were you one day late in paying your bill? Did you know that you have 30 days from the expiration date on your insurance to pay the bill and you are still covered. So if your insurance expires on July 1 and you get rear ended on July 4, you can pay your bill and you are covered for the July 4 accident.

Also, unless you have a horrible driving record, your insurance will not be affected by this accident. Also note that California does not have no-fault insurance.

Oh yea, report this accident to your insurer ASAP. It's against the law if you don't I'm pretty sure.

Al,

I remember you describing yourself in the threesome thread as an intelligent female. All evidence points to the contrary.

a,

Talk to the company, tell them what happened and ask them how they want to take care of it. If they give you any crap, tell them fine, you're off to file a police report about the hit and run and false information by their employee. They most likely will try to settle with you the, but even if they don't, Dave won't do anything to you. Just make sure you have the license number and cargo company info to give to the police.

It's not the insurance company you have to report it to, it's the DMV, and only if there's over like $750 in damages or injuries.

And WTF is with going to the company in person. Telephone FTW.

My experience in dealing with corporate entities has been they are usually happy to write a check to make you go away. What kind of company is it?
