fwiw, i think lol should go and linktarding allowed in OOT. It seems more like an OOT thing, and the forum doesnt generate enough posts on its own. If you allowed linktarding in OOT, with the condition that linktard posts had to have "LT: funny video" the 'LT' symbol in front, you'd get a lot more games and videos and stuff. More stuff will be posted in OOT than is in LOL, bc oot is a community. I say make rules about labelling linktard posts, allow it in OOT, and delete LOL.

I can see NT ruining this.

Borodog,

No, I do not see why.

Because not everything worth sharing or looking at needs a lot of discussion. If people posted LOL-type posts in OOT they would rightly be lambasted for cluttering up the place with low content threads. A LOL thread that generated too much discussion is probably in the wrong forum.

I still don't think that this "problem" is great enough to warrant that forum's existence.

LoL is like OOT-exile. People who dont want to decide if theyre gonna get banned for 1 bad OP can post there w/o worrying.

How can you be so dumb that you can't figure out what's appropriate for OOT and yet still remember to breathe

Because a lot of inappropriate posts seem to be left alone because of who the OP is. Its hard to know where the line is and I dont feel like finding out.

link + question/comment/concern/etc to generate discussion = OOT

link + "haha, this is funny" + no discussion necessary or sometimes even possible = LOL

How is this hard?

edit: link + "FOOT" = BBV

Can you link me to "a lot of inappropriate posts seem to be left alone because of who the OP is"?

I can think of a few but "a lot" is overboard. Also, since you seem to understand which posts are inappropriate, then that means you know what would be appropriate as well, right?
