I mean mostly the stories that get posted on here about him. Stuff like going all in blind donking around in mid stakes games, being a huge tipper, living at the Bell for 25k/month and seemingly always picking up the bill when groups go out. He seems to have very poor money management.

while the info that many of these hs guys are bust and aren't better than the specialists, this info is not obvious to the smaller stakes players here, and davids opinion carries enough weight that the less informed may start to accept that some of these guys aren't the almighty talents they believe them to be.

q, if so many pros are going bust, who's getting the money? pits? doyle? i-pros? all of the above?

Whilst everything you've said TStone is very valid, I'm of the opinion that you either share all (100%) or nothing at all (0%). It annoys the hell out of me when I hear a bit of gossip but don't hear the real gossip, within the gossip.

There's 2 I'm curious about for some reason, Todd Brunson and Phil Ivey.

After hearing Todd talk about how he's just like his mother as far as money goes leads me to believe he's saving a lot of his cash.

With Ivey I always thought he had the eleventy Brazillion $ roll. Then about a year or so ago there was a big thread talking about how Ivey had lost a large amount of cash in the pits.

If Ivey is still driving around a 400k Mercedes then I would find it hard to believe he's lost a lot. That is unless losing a lot means he's only got 15mil sitting around.

Ivey leases his SLR, but i don't think that pit thread was about how he was close to busto. He still seems to be a big winner both live and online, even if he is apparently "burnt out".

EDIT: Oh yeah, Booth was also getting staked in some of the bigger games he played in.
