I'm 5'11, 245 lbs, 19.

[/ QUOTE ]

Your age is like the only reason to consider you. 245 means you don't even need to drop a hundy but 19 is [censored] young to be 245.

[/ QUOTE ]

The sad part is I used to be 265 in january

[/ QUOTE ]

@20 i went from 265 to 180 in 3.5 months. @22 i went from 185>230 in 6. Damn free sodas at work.

Kipin,

I'm not sure you count as "morbidly obese". To me, that's where the line should start.

I really enjoy that a term used to describe me has some connotation that I'm already dead.

He outweighs me by 100 pounds at about the same height, so you might want to think more about that. I also doubt that he has substantially more muscle than I do.

I hope you both go ahead and lose a lot of weight.

Re: Fatties. My money where your mouth is.

Wiki definition of "morbidly obese":

Body mass index (BMI), also called the Quetelet number, is currently the most widely accepted calculation of excess body fat for human beings. BMI was developed between 1830 and 1850 by the Belgian statistician Adolphe Quetelet. It is calculated by dividing the subject's weight in kilograms by the square of his/her height in meters (BMI = W / h2).

For example, a person who weighs 75 kilograms and stands 1.8 meters tall would have a BMI of 23.148. The number 23.148 is then compared to a table of definitions whose qualitative values are necessarily arbitrary.

The current definitions commonly in use establish the following values:

* A BMI below 18.0 is characterized as underweight
* A BMI of 18.0 - 24.999 is characterized as normal weight
* A BMI of 25.0 - 29.999 is characterized as overweight
* A BMI of 30.0 - 34.999 is characterized as obese.
* A BMI of 35.0 or higher is characterized as "severely (or morbidly) obese."

For conversion assistance, 1 lb = .45 kg, 1 inch = 2.54 cm

I'm not big enough to qualify for this, but after a massive change in dietary/excersize habits two weeks ago, I got my first 'Have you lost weight?' today. Haven't stopped smiling for six hours. Even without the money, it's worth it.

Good job Bison. Fantastic idea.

Re: Fatties. My money where your mouth is.

On March 10, I weighed about 350lbs (I'm not sure exactly because my scale only goes up to 340lbs, but I think it was about 350lbs.). This morning I weighed 314.4lbs. I hope to be down to 230lbs. by October 1, and 210 lbs by next summer. (This may be to aggressive, but I'm going to try.)

FWIW, I am 6'1".

5'11", 334 lbs as of this morning. I actually consider myself lucky because I always played sports in high school. I think without sports I'd be stuck to my chair. I'm 27 so there's still time, but I've been a big fatass since I was 15 or so. I'm just so lost when it comes to dieting and eating right. Help me change my life, Bison!
