Betting turn and c/r'ing river would've been a much better way to c/r at some point. I might not have c/r'ed the river though, it depends.

Once he's called a turn bet, we can put him on a reasonably specific range and I'm sure you could devise a complicated way of calculating whether there is greater value in check-raising on the specific % of river cards that we might choose this line over a bet. I'm not able to do the calculation, but I doubt it. So little of his range, on any river you might check-raise, is both betting and calling and virtually nothing is folding to a second barrel.

also just think, if you were the CO open raiser wouldnt it be great if one of the blinds always called you with a suited connector here. its like free money.

g-p,
That's true except so many tourney donks are terrible and will stack off way too light this deep. Preflop is fine here assuming you don't do thing like put in zero bets by the river with a flush.

i agree with everything eagles said, except that i think pf can go either of the 3 ways.

Jimmy,
I have almost entirely stopped calling raises with these hands out of the blinds preflop unless it is a really horrific player. I just feel like it's so easy to get into trouble, and I don't want to bleed chips this early. I dont mind a call pre if the button comes along for the ride, I think.

SS

EDIT: Nevermind. I'm retarded. I failed to notice you both had 50 million chips. Disregard the entire post.

3bet pf. I think Ansky is right that it will be tought to turn a profit OOP here and I never fold 78s 150bbs deep so 3bet.

On the flop I probably c/c c/r is pretty meh if he folds to the flop c/r you can prob take it away from him on a later street anyways.

On the turn as played lead villain is rarely betting let him call.

Once you get to the river I think its a raise just make it like 5k or w/e he's never folding and you have the best hand an awful lot.

interesting rievr line didnt even think of this

I think re-raising that river is a huge spew. I think you will push him off something you beat and he will call when he has you beat.

Unless you think this guy is really bad and a complete call station idiot, maybe mini re-raise the river. But I think it is just a call.
