Wow Binion's entry fees are atrocious for these tourneys. The two I look at are 18% and 22%. The dealers get none of it either.

20% is not shocking for daily tournaments in Vegas, but I agree it would be a bit large for tournaments of the expected size. Luckilly the two I checked were $150 Limit Hold'em which has a 16% vig, and the $250 HORSE is 14% vig. Keep in mind Binion's is a ghost town now, they make more money off their daily tournaments than they do from rake at this stage, so i think this is very reasonable.

Not sure where you found a vig of 20%, I didn't see that.

The $100 Stud8 is $83+$17. If it included the dealer tip it wouldnt be so bad. It seems like the dealers are getting screwed pretty bad. I guess I've been spoiled by 10% entry fees.

Edit, its only 21%.

I'll be in Vegas from May 30th 'til whenever (mid July probably). I'd be down to meet up with you guys for whatever, whenever, where ever.

What does everyone want to do? Gun range one afternoon? Lunch? Dinner/drinks? Strip clubs? All of the above?

If we set a date/time/location by mid-June then we might actually get decent attendance......

I'd prefer a more social setting where we can converse freely. The gun range sounds like fun but would probably make for difficult conversation. Eating would probably be better but while everyone is eating there won't be a lot of conversing. I think a bar where we could sit back, have some cocktails, talk, and those wishing to have food or appetizers could do so at their leisure would be best.

I recommend the Green Door. I can't think of any place with more "freedom".

Any suggestions? I've heard good things about the Monte Carlo Brewpub, but have never have been there.

Make it simple - Lucky Strike Bowling Lanes at the bar. Its in the Rio, adjacent to the poker room (the regular poker room, not the WSOP). Its hip, its cool, there are hot girls there 24-7, and you can throw around your balls if thats what your into.
