Vince has his last big contract. He's done.

Magloire has been in a tailspin for 2-3 years. He's done.

Jason Collins is the worst regular starting C in the NBA. Not close.

Other than that, the Nets are fine.

When you give a max contract to a guy like Vince Carter at his age, you are telling your fanbase:

1. Don't worry. We'll probably make the playoffs, just don't ever expect us to get to the second round again.
2. We have no interest in acquiring superstar young talent through the draft. We will keep acquiring mediocre college players like Sean Williams, Marcus Williams, Josh Boone, and Antoine Wright.
