Should I 24 table and SS 1/2? That might be fun.

[/ QUOTE ]

First thing I thought of when I heard you can play this many tables now is that it is going to be great for SSers (and bots ldo).

What was wrong with 12 tables? Not exciting enough when you are playing 11/5?

[/ QUOTE ]

i was trying to see how many I could shortstack at 6max
with alot of training I think I could do 24

however, it is a real PITA to switch and find new tables
which is a HUGE part of shortstacking

the new max shouldn't have too much of an effect

Re: God hates me.

Check/called into to the river by random unknowns while missing everything from AK to 15 out combo draws? Check.

Limp/reraised 4 or 5 times by different people every time with the best hand to call with being AQo? Check.

Check/raised out of the blinds on the flop 4 or 5 other times with missed overs? Check.

And that's how we lose several buyins without ever being stacked.

My internet connection sucks almost as much as my game does.

Stars, ESPN.com and a few other choice sites are down, but 2+2 and some other choice sites come up just fine.

What the hell?

20+ tabling really wears out the brain. After 1.5 hrs I feel like I'm in the twilight zone, definitely on autopilot..need a break

any suggestions on how to stay sharp?

Re: ***Official November Chat Thread: The Golden Duck***

So, frustrated and angry at the horrible 50NL experience of tonight (nits, card dead, flop raises everywhere, like NO fish, 30 pots go buy on each table with none of them in the double digits which is absurd and NONE of them go past the flop), I instead of going to bed go to 100NL (which im rolled for technically but I won't move up full time until I have 30 buyins) and after I swear to my tilted self to be calm and safe and play a conservative game, I do this:

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (7 handed) Poker Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

Hero ($100)
MP2 ($138.50)
CO ($141.15)
Button ($35.80)
SB ($97.50)
BB ($98.85)
UTG ($111.50)

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
1 fold, Hero raises to $3, MP2 calls $3, 3 folds, BB|BB raises to $6.5, Hero calls $4, MP2 calls $4.

Raise a little smaller cause I'm weak-tight right now, flop near minraise is always AA/KK/QQ.

Flop: ($21.50) 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
BB|BB bets $13, Hero calls $13, MP2 folds.

About as good as I could have hoped, call once and see if I can stack him.

Turn: ($47.50) A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB|BB bets $13, Hero raises to $45, BB|BB raises to $110.85, Hero calls $33.85.

That's a weak blocker, he's afraid of the ace and will foooooold. Um. Damnit. He has a set of aces. Great. Getting 5:1 but I'm not in this spot if I'm not such a retard. I only lost a buyin total tonight why why why why WHY did I do this.

River: ($205.20) 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)

I'm great at poker.

Final Pot: $205.20

Results in white below:
BB has Ks Kd (one pair, kings).
Hero has 9c Tc (flush, ten high).
Outcome: Hero wins $205.20.

Pretty surprised to see KK tbh. Oh, and up $40 for the night, ticked off the blinds and gg everyone.

I could beat 200NL for a better rate if I 1 tabled.
But what would be the point?

Its all about finding a balance which provides you with the best hourly $$$ rate.

If you can make more $/hour by grinding out more FPPs and getting bonuses with a slightly lower winrate than if you played less tables and had a higher winrate is a simple concept.

Your winrate is important, but increasing $$$/hour should be your main goal.

But growing as a player and moving up nets you more than money than 24 tabling 1/2 nl to make 10k a month when you could be playing 2/4-3/6-5/10 like renton and GM making 30-50k a month. I guess my point is you guys are looking short term I am looking long term.

It's not like people who play a ton of tables suck at poker. Some do, but many have a very good idea of what they are doing. GM/Renton/etc. weren't 4-tabling 200NL, they were playing lots of tables of it, then when their roll got big enough and they felt they were good enough, they jumped.

Higher $$$/hour = more money = bigger roll = moving up
