A lot better than I feel about my GOOG 720 calls right now that expire next friday. At least I covered all My CSCO losses and most of what I can lose of the GOOG calls today by selling my GS calls when they went up enough.

Sold my RIMM puts so I am freerolling on my 120 calls, got one week to see if RIMM can get over the $118 hump which should break me out of them.

As to your question I hope you caught the downswing on the FXI today, I am now thinking it is low enough to jump in.

Got back into ETFC at just under $9 per share, if they screw me again I am done with them but really can't see it going much lower than this.

I know Jimbo can't read this because he put me on ignore, but this is what happens when you don't do your homework:

These financial stocks have no more earnings. These p/e ratios that you see on yahoo finance are based on yesterdays earnings, not tomorrows.

New Graphics Chips

Gogogo AMD!

I'm so glad they got these to market.

My Strangle for December

I purchased 640 Dec calls (GOOLH) today for $26.40 each. These should become very valuable long before expiration. Just to be safe I did buy half as many Dec 630 puts as my 640 calls but still expect my money to be made on the upside.

Even better that 8800GTs are likely to have production delays. GOGOGOGO consumers!! IMO I think AMD is still [censored] in the processor space for now...

My Goog 720's expired. Rimm bounced enough this past week to get me out of them with a small loss.

Back in GOOG today on the short side, I just bought 5 GOQXR (690 Puts) at $22.80 per contract. Now all I need is a little correction in the next few days.

Just call me fickle, got a bit nervous with the direction Google was moving late yesterday and in this mornings' session. Sold my 690 Puts for the high (so far) of $24 per contract and purchased 5 GOQLB (710 Calls) at $14.80 during the same dip.

Now I want GOOG to Zoom Zoom Zoom instead of dive.

Re: Positions Thread

People seem to have lost interest in this thread so this will probably be my final update for awhile.

Earlier purchased 5 RULLD Rimm 120 Calls at $6.40 per contract and will sell at $10+. Luckily sold my GOOG 710 calls near todays' opening at 23.60 for a $12.20 profit per contract after comissions or +$4350 net net.

Rebought these same calls at $17.20 and expect them to fetch over $20 before the trading day ends.

On a final note it looks like the SIRI/XMSR deal will finalize very soon so I hope others bought some of these shares while they were still cheap. I plan to exit SIRI at $4.25 and XMSR at $17.50 or higher.

Good luck to all you traders,

Jimbo

EDITED BELOW:

Guess I should update my Spec recommendations in this post as well.

Am holding onto Smith and Wesson (SWHC) for the medium term. Plan on selling my LVS Jan 125 Calls at anything over $5.50 (purchased at $5) the fundamentals haven't improved and Dec should be a poor earnings month for them, not willing to gamble on an average 4th quarter earnings report.

Finally I hope no one else bought GA when I suggested it in my Spec thread. They misrepresented their user data for the months prior to them going public in the prospectus. I have joined in a class action suit against them and hope to recover my $20K in losses in that position but will not hold my breath on that happening anytime soon. I apologize if anyone else lost money in this dog but I did my due dilligence and read the prospectus, just relied on what I saw and believed the information.
