I hate those earbud things, my ears are too big.. with no curve to hold them.

Seriously.. who would cart all that crap around to listen to an ipod. I bet you don't get really good bass you can feel out of those earbuds.. why not add a 10" subwoofer.

Props to the OP, that is really cool IMO.

Don't really know why people would hate on you for this... You're spending a lot of extra money to enjoy some better sound quality from a music player, no harm done.

My dad subscribes to Audiophile magazine and has a jillion dollar set of speakers. I have had a lot of ear training as a classical and jazz musician so I can hear a significant difference between that system and your $300 set of speakers from Best Buy. But I still cannot tell the difference between a performance of Brahms' 4th on a top-notch system that costs a jillion dollars and a 2nd-tier system that costs half a jillion dollars that most audophiles wouldn't be caught dead listening to.

In sum, audiophiles are annoying.
