was leaning towards Ocean's 11- is Sycuan better?

I like 1/2 or 2/5 NLHE or maybe a donkament under $100- I will be staying at the Manchester Hyatt in the harbor and I will have a rental car.

I've never been to Ocean's 11. Sycuan's an alright place, you have some decent players and a lot of horrid players.
1/2 to 2/5? That's a big jump, if you can afford 2/5 I'd stay away from 1/2 completely. 1/3 is always an option.

Ocean's 11 2/3 NL with $300 max buy-in is probably the best, IMO, because it has 100 bb stacks.

Most 1/1, 1/2, and 2/2 games in SD (that I know of) are 40-50 bb max buy-in games. Sycuan, for example, is 1/2 with $100 max (50 bb stacks). And the 1/1 at Ocean's is $40 max (40 bb stacks), while the 2/2 at Ocean's is $100 (50 bb stacks).

Im used to AC where the usual choices in NLHE are 1/2 then 2/5. I would only play 2/5 if the game was particularly juicy as it would be a BR jump. If there's 1/3 then I'll check that out.

1/2 is $60 max at Sycuan. It's so horrible to play. When I finally bought into 1/3 for the full buyin, I was so elated to play poker.

Go to Oceans, not Sycuan.

Sycuan sucks, its incredibly smokey on your 3 mile jog all the way to the poker room.

Barona is cool, since its where I get my food when I don't want to cook anything. It also has really soft games and a lot of players who think they're good.

Since the wild fires I put money online and have rather played poker in my living room instead of driving all the way to the Indian Casinos.

I live right around the corner from Palomar...It is a small room, probly like 12 tables?

[/ QUOTE ]

smaller than this. I think ~6 tables? I enjoyed playing there although the rake is a bit higher than other places I think. also they'll go get you fast food from any of the places around there!

Anyone playing at Viejas on Monday? LMK here or by IM ... I know Monday is prolly a sucky day to be there, but be there I will. If the game sucks, at least I can talk [censored] with another 2+2er.
