Joe,

You simply have to 4-bet preflop here. You're a mega tight ass so it's not like you gain any deception, you may as well fire away. You simply have way way too much hand.

Flop is fine, not a lot can really go any differently.

Turn you have to lead unless you are planning to checkraise and get the vibe doug is firing away. But leading is better because, remember, you are a tight ass and if DFM bets into you here it's likely because you won't like the results if you checkraise.

River: You may as well bet for value. Tattoo guy might be able to call and Doug won't bother raising with a worse hand than yours, because, you are a tight ass and he knows you have a hand and won't expect you to ever ever fold.

As for DFM, a counterfieted 89s, 9Ts, 66, J9s, and TT seem most likely to me, in order. Obviously broadway combos with T's are possible.

joe loves it because your read of him being a tight ass matches how he sees himself. the problem is he's now more of a lagtag and he's a bonafide betting station. nevertheless he should be betting the turn although i like letting tattoo guy bet the river for him.

RESULTS

I paused and checked, tattoos checked, Doug bet, I thought for a bit and folded, tatts folded and Doug wins without a showdown as everyone looks flabbergasted at the table. DFM has told me has hand and no one will ever get it right.

What do I gain? Tatts is not folding, ever. If I thought he would 10% of the time, I'd 4-bet. I allow Doug to gain deception by 5-betting the both of us with position and I do think he'd do this with a bit less knowing I'd be more prone to give up OOP with tattoo between us as DFM would love me out of the hand to play tattoo HU. I need not be first to act in a mega-bloated pot with a possibly dominated hand. Calling allows me to c/r protect my hand on most flops as regardless if my hand is "face up", we both know that DFM continuation bets 100% of the time regardless of the flop texture and I get to shut tattoo out.

I loved it because Clark is wrong on everything. Even the deception comment, as given Dougs hand, he had NO idea I had TT (and you can see that from his response here).

well i never actually read the hand just saw that you had TT and there was some flop jammage and the deniro jr was there. anyway, you are a lag. that's why you get autocalled with 33.
