Worst thread in the history of the forum?

I think the week that asteroid hit the earth and started an ice age was the worst week.

[/ QUOTE ]

if that didn't happen and humans still managed to come to be, we'd be dino chum right about now, so I don't think, from my perspective anyway, that that's very bad at all.

It doesn't say worst week to humans, it says worst week. 90% of the species on earth being wiped out is a pretty bad week. If you want to talk people the 1931 Yellow River flood that killed 1-4 million people probably sucked. And I know you amended to say American tragedies, but the thread title supersedes your authority.

I can't believe you took the time to make this list. On the other hand, I can't believe I'm taking the time to make this post either.

Well, the revolutionary war did start this week, so I'm not sure it's all bad.

I have always noticed how much awful stuff happens around my birthday and someone else pointed it out in the Vtech thread. The week surrounding April 18th, or basically like April 15th-22nd or so has seemed to have very many tragic events throughout history.

Just to name a few:
OBV the Virginia Tech psycho this week.
Columbine
OKC Bombing
Waco Massacre
Hitler was born
1906 SF Earthquake
Titanic sank

I guess I'm screwed, my birthday was monday the 16th

On a good note, I always seem to enjoy 4/20

also to note, as some of you know colubmine wasnt coincidentally planned for that week. it was plotted for hitler's birthday. not to take away from OP's point. just that it's not a random coincidenc.e

[/ QUOTE ]

From what I remember, OKC Bombing was also to "commemorate" the Waco disaster.
