I think that our hand range looks roughly the same whether we call or shove--so shoving's better unless we think we can fold at some point later in the hand if we call.

cold calling here shows huge huge strength and is going to slow your opponents to a standstill unless they have you beat, so I'd favor just playing it fast to avoid letting GoG have a shot at hitting a 2, 4, or 8 outer. I obviously don't know the dynamics of shorthanded 50/100 but it strikes me as being really bad for either of them to continue putting any money in the pot against you without a very strong holding if you cold call there.

I don't see the merit in calling the flop. If you are going to commit yourself on the turn anyway it seems like you are only giving a free card to hit a str8 or a better set. If you check turn I doubt anyone's betting that doesn't have you beat, giving another free card.
The way its played out, I'd say your only option is to push here. You might get looked by someone who can't let go of a big PP or someone who is for some reason convinced you have 45.
I know most of the time you will just take it down here but I don't think anymore money is going in anyway unless someone improves over you, and flop is the best time to represent a semibluff.

I have to agree about the cold call being so strong that it's not worth giving free cards, and they have fairly wide ranges, so a push should be profitable.

It sucks that you won't get paid off by worse, very often, but you weren't gonna get paid anyway.

Yeah, basically I figured I'd have to SCKM if someone caught 4-8 outer and cold calling just made things really akward but then instead of pushing I thought 6k might look like more of a steal for some reason so I did that and everyone folded.
