hand 1 fold the turn.

hand 2 you're done after betting the flop, raise pf.

the hardest part of cash for me when I switched (in July btw) was getting away from the "showdown" mentality I'd developed in STT play.

Also, when posting cash hands, its good to post not only your reads, hopefully beyond stats, but also your image.

Good luck with this.

lol, just noticed there where more hands, scrolling down is the nutz, more to follow.

Re: STTF SNG->cash thread

Here's how most my threads have gone:

1) I make a post of a hand I found difficult.
2) I get a response or two from low post count people.
3) I wait for a bit, then reply to the responses which are usually bad.
4) My more indepth second post acts to bump thread and get better discussion going.
5) Finally, some (what I assume are respected posters) come along and give me some good advice.

Small sample, but that seems to be the process. If you get one respected poster to reply, others will probably have a look at the thread. You might just need to find ways of bumping it, without just typing 'bump'.

Re: STTF SNG->cash thread

hand 3 fold the river, maybe earlier if I looked closer.

hand 4 is fine.

hand 5 fold or jam after a flop rr. Usually that deep, I'd fold vs a monster draw where ur behind even tho ur ahead atm.

hand 6 wft? Your image is important, but maintain it from position. Really a lot more going on there, but the showdown syndrome is most obv.

Also, SSNL is a really good forum. You just have to know who to listen to. Much like this forum really.

I agree. This is silly.

I could see how this seems lame to you guys. But fwiw I get no love in the NL forums. And more people that I trust post here.

uNL is basically a waste, send ur hands to people you trust on aim like Pastorbater, Prodigy or even me (lol). SSNL, read Jay's comments. I assume he is Jay1986 of old, whom I've really grown to like as a NL poster, along with the people that post around him in SSNL. SSNL is a great forum with less "community" feel then sttf, but its more business oriented IMO. He is very correct about knowing who is who on that forum, less then uNL, SSNL does have its share of short term posters. PM me if you want my aim or just pm me w/ your hands and I'll give you a modest perspective.

Re: STTF SNG->cash thread

I've only played a few thousand NL$ hands in my life, but have just enough experience to see that Hand #1 is a classic mistake hand of someone switching from SNGs to 100 BB NL$. Sure, some draws are in his range, but also in his range are some hands you're drawing thin/near dead against. Getting most your stack in in these type of spots against that ugly range is how (other) people can have very high win rates in these games...

...I'd check the Turn most of the times, fold to most Turn bets if made, and to River bets on a Turn check-behind call a fair amount of the time, but probably not lead the River (see TOP).

Just an idea

Post the hands in SSNL forum and post a link here or in the [censored] thread.

SNG->Cash players can go and respond there, and others in that forum might give input also.

I plan on giving NL a try in Feb.

Different Jay. Jay1986 still uses that sign-in and I think he posts frequently in SSNL. Agreed that he's a good poster.
