Re: Continuation Betting - Part One

Awesome post! I have considered getting some coaching specifically on the topic of cbetting, because I realize how complex it can be (particularly in reraised pots, and also vs. very loose players). I play with all kinds of 50-80 vpip types at my tables all day, and I often find myself cbetting just because I'm not sure what else to do at the time.

Anyways, I have a specific question pertaining to this. A while ago I posted a hand I played against a 75/25 type of player. Obviously a huge fish, folds to cbets ~40-45% of the time and capable of floating at times. I don't really observe him to be the type to bluffraise or even raise his draws though. I have an underpair on something like an 854 two-tone flop. Should I be be betting here? IP/OOP? I ask because I did cbet it, and a respected SSNLer referred to the bet as "horrible" but never offered any reasoning as to why.

Thanks for doing this Greg!
