It is impossible to lose 8 buyins in 2 hands if you don't play more then 2 buyins deep, which I am pretty sure is the case with him.

The more hands you play, the more likely it is to run into a downswing. And as the sample size increases, the probability of not having a downswing in it approaches 0. How is this hard to understand?

I found out I was including these hands where I took a shot at a new level. I couldn't handle the swings.
