Re: Girlfriend has HPV (warts?)

asking 2+2 for advice?

The only way you're going to get any sort of a serious answer here is if you post a pic of your girlfriends vagina. Then we can scientically determine if you should keep eating it

Re: Girlfriend has HPV (warts?)

I had an HPV post a few months ago, i had never really heard of it until the girl i was seeing tested for it. I talked to a doctor and he basically told me to not worry about it ever. girls should get screened regularly, but it rarely becomes a problem.

Also, her/your hpv infection is almost surely not the wart causing kind, are you would have noticed it by now.

best advice is to forget about it, and continue as nothing happened.

Also, am I getting levelled with the google search stuff? I typed in HPV hoping to get a picture of a vagine covered in oozing warts, however all I got was a girl being vaccinated. Huge let down

You might need to turn off safe search, because I got basically exactly what you were hoping to get.

Correct. There are many strains of HPV and the kinds that yield pap smear results are NOT the kinds that result in warts. Be compassionate, and no, she didn't necessarily cheat on you because the symptoms can lie dormant for a long time (or, like others had said, you may be a carrier).

A doctor friend of mine indicates that getting cancer as a result of HPV is much much lower of a chance then getting it from continued use of tampons, which contain bleached and in some cases dyed materials. Seems to think all this hype is just a push from the drug companies to sell more, and that HPV has been around forever.

I think that your doctor friend is an idiot who doesn't know an urban legend when he reads one.

Also, see if there's a follow up test. Because what happens sometimes is that they have an "abnormal" result, the nurse automatically assumes it's HPV, gf blows up, sex life disappears, then 4 months later after more tests turns out it was nothing and the bitch never told you even after treating you like [censored] about it for the entire time.

It's really not a big deal at all -- there are tons of people who have it and don't even know it. Feel free to chomp away.

[/ QUOTE ]

Seriously, I think that more than 50% of women have some strain of HPV. The only problem for a man is that you might then pass it on to another woman.

BTW, if it's true that she was not sexually active before meeting you, then you gave it to her.

first thing i thought. op you should get yourself checked
