Why is 3 betting such an automatic decision for most people? Every table plays different, you can't just say 'we have AJs against a loose players CO open, I 3-bet'. What's his 3-bet calling range? Does he bluff a lot postflop?

Villain here opens way too many hands, we have position on him, and he is passive postflop. Who says we are folding to a c-bet if we miss? Why can't we bluff raise? Or float and bet the turn if he checks?
3-betting pre is a bluff against most villains, so as others have said, I'd rather do it with 76s.

We may even win a decnt pot if he has KJ/AT, hands he probably folds to a 3bet pre.

Call the flop. Don't RR here. You have hit the perfect flop here to go broke with.

As played, Call. But you are beat here a lot. Since you RR pre-flop. Hard to fold now.

This player and most poor players at this level would happily call with KJ/AT.

It's the 2/3 times we miss with AJ is why i dont like calling primarily. I dont think hands like KQ, AJ, KJ, QJ etc play well cold calling pre flop raises.

I agree with that.

This is a redic easy 3bet preflop. We have the best hand like always, and we can 3bet for value, cos he'll call it with pretty much any 2 cards he raised with.

Also, calling preflop is certainly +EV. We have a very nice hand, in position, vs a fish, obv calling > folding preflop. It really seems like you guys are scared to play poker.

IMO preflop 3beting >> calling >>>>>> folding

Obv on the flop its an easy call...we have 2 pair vs a fish in a rr pot FFS

I want to mention that while I think 3betting is the best play I do agree that calling is better than folding....I just much much prefer 3betting here.

QFT, listen to Dan Bitel. He gives good advise.

Against a Tag I fold this.
