I don't think its realistic to assume the 5/10 NL or higher can run on a regular basis at all three casinos, let alone more than one. 10/20 NL didn't last long at MCC, and let's face it most people just don't have the money. This isn't Vegas. Not even close.

The 5/10nl never goes at Greektown anymore and it's getting tighter by the day at MC

I know, it sucks. However the 2/5 NL action has been good recently. I was at MGM on Saturday and it was unreal. The average pot was > $500 and the stacks were pretty huge for that game. A lot of bluffing and overall craziness.

i was interested to read here that the biggest game that ever goes is 10/20 NL at windsor. can anyone confirm that windsor is also the most likely place for there to be a 5/10 NL game on, say, a monday?

windsor only has 10/20 on fri/sat, other than that its 2-5nl with a 200 cap, waste of time. Do not bother going unless its fri/sat

No comps at MGM.

Why would anybody play at Greektown if they have a choice? The floor is incompetent and rude, parking is a pain in the ass and it's one of the few casinos in the country that still allows smoking. Not to mention I called them yesterday to put my name on the list and they haven't answered yet.

Yeah. Greektown has done everything it could to drive business away. They don't answer the phone. When you get there, they treat you like (censored) from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave. Motor City, for all its faults, at least answers the phone and is trying. my main beef with them is the waitlists are ridiculous since the new room. I don't play slots or blackjack, so the wait kills.

Without the BBJ at MGM its worth trying out for that reason alone.

Good to hear. Detroit could use some competition.

To those of you who've lived in Detroit pre-casinos can you tell me:

How much did they change the old Wonder Bread building into the Motor City Casino?

Did they build the MGM around the old IRS Data Center building or did the tear it down and start over?

Where is Greektown?

Thanks.

Max. buyin still only $300 or has that (hopefully) changed? If they ever get a $5-10nl please post here.

I was never in the buildings before they were casinos so I can't say. The MGM is a brand spankin' new building and cost $800,000. The old building was the IRS building I believe.

Greektown is off Randolph street in the heart of, ahm...Greektown; downtown Detroit.

$800,000 is quite the bargain this day and age.
