I'm pretty sure you're doing it wrong. You take the equity you have on the whole $10K and subtract by the amount you put in. In this case its $8,740 - $5K = $3740.

Your EV would be $4,370 if you got your money back the times you lose. You are failing to factor in the loss of $5K 12.6% of the time. This is the $630 you are forgetting to subtract from your $4,370 figure.

But the bottom line is that most of these "stars" (I can't name the exceptions either because that would narrow things down too much) are simply among a group of the top fifty or hundred players. Actually many aren't even quite that good except in multiple games, an area that most smaller players have no reason to try to get excel at.

In other words, except for two or three possible exceptions, I contend that the super high successful players are no better than the best of the 300-600 limit players or the 50-100 NLH or PLO players. They got lucky, were in the right place at the right time, or they were good at all games but masters at none. Nothing to waste your adulation on.

Harman just bought a 3 mil condo @ queensridge place,.. not busto in any form. She is my friend's neighbor
