I missed this issue too, I am kinda just realising this too fwiw. Now I rarely seem to be pushing FDs hard anymore. People said that you push FDs to make villains see that you play FDs the same as a set. But we play sooo many different people at uNL that it doesn't really make sense.

I am done for the day. 1024 hands for a profit of $.30. Had I gotten away from that one hand I would have actually won something. the same villain in the hand I posted went on to crack aces with 74s and river gutshots while i held 2pr and hit his trips on river to out do other persons two pair and in general run hot as the sun against everyone. glad he did not discriminate lol. oh well aside from that one had i posted i played well. i guess i should have bet folded that hand but he so bad he would probably get it in with AQ,AK,KQ there as well. still think it was a bet fold.

Hey anyone, is it just jerking off to tangle with 18/10s and other weak tights n TAGs? I'm sick of looking at KQ after an mp raise from one of them. Even ones who stack off weak, it's still always thin even if i flop decent.

The problem is his pre-flop raise amount. he could do this when he's weak or he could do this when he is really strong. I tend to c-bet little too much once I reraise pre-flop.

sometimes I will just fold hands like this when this situation occurs. I would much rather go after a later position raiser with this hand

I would against an unknown, checking basically gives up, and you still have overs + draw to the nuts to if he peels flop too.
If you check then you'd have to make sure you check call and check raise in spots like this sometimes.
I follow the cbet a bit more often oop than in position, in position I like to make use of the showdown value of ace high a lot more.

How many people at unl actually understand why they are 3-betting? I think 95% of unl regs just do it because it is what everybody else does

The way I see it, you're doing it because:

1) +EV from fold equity
2) For value, with a strong hand
3) For value, against someone who opens with a wide range
4) Because when they call, c-betting is often free monies
5) They're stealing your blinds too much and you want them to stop.
6) Sometimes a combination of one or more of the above.

Probably a better, more concise way of saying it, but meh.
