All,

Updated again.

A few of you are posters EDF mods aren't familar with and you haven't posted here much or at all, so just start posting good stuff regularly here and we'll add you to the list.

A couple of you we weren't that familiar with (fleece, Pete, Danny this round), but you either had great suggestions or have made a handful of solid posts in EDF, so we're giving it a try.

The rest of you are either solid 2+2 posters we're familiar with, or have been posting good responses here regularly. Looking forward to some good threads!

Again, if you have posted here and aren't listed in the OP or have any questions, just post here.

I honestly think I've started 10 OT threads in my time at 2+2, but I post in a cooking forum that has an Iron Chef competition like the one here. I think EDF would get a kick out of my recent Iron Chef: Onion entry, and it's way (way) too long to post in the "What's Cooking" thread. Can I start a new thread here?

For a reason i still cant figure out, I didnt start visiting this forum until recently. this annoys me for a variety of reasons, but mostly bc of all the time ive wasted in bbv or nvg when i could have been reading/posting in here.

That being said, I prob. wont start a ton of threads in here, but would like to be able to start the occasional good one.

I am a longtime member/poster on STTF...A friend (Suzzer) has suggested that I post 5 - 6 stories that I have written about Internet dating...They are based on "IRL" experience and have serious NSFW content...It was my intent to write something with a comical bent....Below is a brief example.

I would like to make a post about Dim Sum. There was an old thread in OOT about dim sum but it sucked. It had potential but there were maybe 10 out of 300 replies that had anything to do with dim sum. Among the things that were debated in that thread:
-miso soup, spoon or no spoon?
-sushi, fork or chopsticks or fingers?
-what is white man's dim sum?
-what it means to "take" someone to dinner
-and about 200 additional posts of utter useless crap

My thread will include a personal trip report, pictures taken by me, explanations of what dishes are, recommendations, etc.

I'm curious about French Tuesdays (specifically in SF, since I live there, but also in NYC and LA). I figure there must be a few members in EDF who can talk a bit about what it's like. This is a thread that could be expanded to the concept of members-only clubs, which might be more valuable.

I've just started cooking fish on slate. It's an awesome way to cook fish (the best way according to the french fish expert Eric Ripert). If the EDF is interested, I can make a post with pictures to instruct on how to cook fish using slate. I've been doing it a lot recently and every time the fish tastes out of this world.
