I don't know. Seems like a wierd post to my limited understanding. Why would you ever volunteer yourself up unless you were a wolf or just really didn't want to play and didn't care about the village. If you know you are village than that means there better candidates for lynching.

I once begged people to lynch me by claiming wolf when I thought our seer was about to go down. Some people care more about winning and less about staying alive. Like our mod. Oh wait, no, not him. Whether or not his idea worked or made sense, I'd be surprised if he made the comment as a wolf.

Of course, xorbie disagrees with me so I could be wrong. Then again, I think xorbie has accused 16 people of being wolves, 14 of which have posted.

Xorbie's just jumping on every accusation in turn, hoping to get a bandwagon going, I think. So either he's a villager trying to get everyone to get off of seer strategy, or he's a wolf trying to take control of the discussion.

I think I'll leave my vote on him a while.

For crying out loud, not this again. It's day flipping one and I act the same freaking way on day one every stupid time.

Lynch a wolf, guys, not me. The sooner we lynch a wolf, the sooner we narrow down what kinds of seers we are. Otherwise it gets very hard to distinuish paranoid from insane, and naive from normal.

Alright, while I try to wrap my head around the best seer strategy, just an FYI for everyone ... my situation seems to be similar to nich's in that I often won't be around for nightfall. Most of my posting will be done between 11 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., with a few others here and there. Friday I won't be around much at all (but I'll at least try to make some contribution). I think it's only fair for everyone to know this.

I think here is a lot of merit to everyone NOT coming out with their picks the first 3 days, because I think the help it gives to the wolves trying to get rid of the normal/insane seers is much bigger than the help village gets later in the game from having all those early peeks. So that's where I fall on that argument.

for reference (anyone that didn't play/read lotr):

it was neil stevens' first game. he was a villager. he was *VERY* villagery. usually first few games are wolfy no matter what your role - but he was extremely villagery.

just keep that in mind. if he sounds wolfy, he might actually be a wolf this game. it isn't because he's new because he's already shown that he sounds like a villager if he is one
