Yeah, let's not make it harder for Eowyn either.
This is good, but, don't be obvious about switching off the leading wagon.

How about you try interacting with someone besides the invulnerable dude? Trying to play mind games with books doesn't seem like a fantastic plan.

If you were anyone else, I'd actually give you villager points for this, though.

This game is stock full of villagers:

FMXDA
FortFun
VR
FCBL
Yours truly

My wolf list pretty much is comprised of Aaron. He's by far our best lynch today. He's the only one that's made a 100% wolf error by talking about early pressure at 11AM.

I'm quite comfortable voting for him today.

Otherwise, Herbie would be next on the wolf list. Sorry Herbie, you are coming off lackadaisacal as you did in ST3.

Re: LOTR: Return of the King (GAME THREAD)

Stephen is votable today too.

Luckay is in this game.

Rich is too. I don't know him.

TFG gets wolf points for making up reasons to lynch FMXDA.

You're a funny one.

I want to kill zurvan for the read.

I want to kill dmk for the lack of read. Based on the way he plays, I not only have no read today, but I have no expectation of being able to decide what he is in the future. Easier to lynch him.

By the way, I'm feeling distinctly whimsical today. It might be the new avatar. That doesn't mean we still shouldn't be kililng dmk and zurvan.

GT1T is, I think, a villager. Nez I don't know yet. He cleared an awfully large number of villagers there. I don't trust that.

Hi villagers!

When I read Sighing description of the "Mouth of Sauron" I pictured the giant idol in the B.C. comic strip that various characters would "consult" for advice...
Damn, I can't find a picture of it anywhere on the web. Am I thinking of the right comic strip?

I'm also glad Books is the Mouth... He was hard to read as a wolf in Two Towers.

VR,

I'm leaning villager on Zurvan thus far. I'd love to lynch him to avoid being called a wolf all game long, but I can't vote for him today I don't think.

DMK, well, is unreadable for me.

Aaron, on the other hand, made a wolfy post and then shut up when I mentioned him.

I really don't want to get into this with you, so I'll just explain something in passing. A vote on someone you can't read (rather than someone you can read) is not random. For example, if I voted for Kyro's Mother right now (which would be a completely legitimate vote for me), it would purely be because I can't read her.

I mean, sure, why not?
Lynch Kyro's Mother because I can't read her

Re: LOTR: Return of the King (GAME THREAD)

Here's the thing, zurvan. DML plays every game in a manner designed to make himself as inscrutable as possible. Basically he sacrifices his readability as a villager to disguise himself when he is a wolf.

That is not village-friendly behavior.

I can't read nez or lastchance either. But I don't feel that they are intentionally trying to do that.

Villagers should WANT to be clearable.

Re: LOTR: Return of the King (GAME THREAD)

I should be more specific.

Everybody should be unreadable, because everyone should always act villagery. The only thing that's village-friendly for everybody is giving your thoughts on who are villagers and who are wolves. If you can be picked off on tone, then your game is too weak. DMK is a good villager (and a good wolf.)

No.

See TTT. The only reason DMK got away with the crap he pulled as a wolf is because of the crap he pulls as a villager.

[/ QUOTE ]

False. Just because I don't play everygame in an X-manner doesn't mean I'm making an attempt to be inscrutable. In fact, if I created a new account and posted exactly what I usually do, you'd probably just think I was a villager. I just happen to be able to duplicate that as a wolf.

Be 100% honest. If everyone plays like this, village wins every game, wolves lose every game.

So basically this means to be a good player, you need an average win rate over all roles that is > 1-chances_of_being_wolf
This is higher than expected because I always assumed 60% is a very good win rate.

This is probably also very obvious, just wnated to put it up here. Now let's get the turbo league going and see who can achive that 1-3/13 = 77% win rate.

Luckay,

Sure, [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Stephen,

Are you implying that I make my villager game look like my wolf game? I strongly disagree with that.

The fact is that even if I'm a wolf, I don't know my wolfpartners until N1. So D1 is completely the same to me no matter what my role is (unless I had to submit a peek as seer). So if you think its so horrible that I'm unreadable on D1, well, sorry, but thats why. I don't intend to change that by sucking as a wolf more.

VR,

The process of elimination was ridic simple. Anyone could have came to that conclusion.
