small point: Why use that beautiful trick play on a 2 point attempt?

wouldn't it have been worth more on, say, the 4th and goal from the one where they kicked a FG earleir?

I agree with Craig James halftime comment

if both Mizzou and WVU lose tonight, voters need to re-evaluate and put LSU above UGA for sure

That's completely legitimate, but, er, the voters already knew about it when they put VT at 6 and LSU at 7. VT beats the 11, LSU beats the 17, and LSU jumps them?

Each of the 2 loss teams have serious, serious problems that will result in a ton of whining if it comes down to it.

Someone explain to me why Hawaii continually gets no love? I mean, they have zero losses while Ohio St has one and Ohio St's best win(Michigan) was ranked lower than Hawaii's best win(Boise St)....I just don't get it.

Hawai'i's games last year verse BCS opponents--they return the same squad this year

Alabama 25 v Hawai'i 17... Bama was 6-7 overall, 2-6 in SEC
Hawai'i 42 v Purdue 35... Purdue was 8-6 overall, 5-3 in the Big11Ten (didn't play tOSU or Michigan)
Oregon St 35 @ Hawai'i 32... ORegon St was 10-4 overall, 6-3 in Pac10

seems like Hawai'i is a mid-level BCS team

the reason they haven't played any *real* schools is their own fault as well
Michigan St backed out due to the absolutely horrid and documented mistreatment Hawai'i brings on opponents who come to the islands

They just made up a winner before hand then didn't show anything so no one knew any better. You were obviously in on it, but your plan to weasel someone out of 20 dollars failed. Loser.

I think State had an actually scheduled, agreed-to game with Hawaii that Sparty backed out of.

FWIW, as I remember it, in the offseason after 2005, when Hawaii's AD was looking to fill a spot on the schedule left vacated by State, they called Michigan. Martin refused the game, because I think Hawaii offered a 2-1 series (2 games in Ann Arbor, 1 in Hawaii).

So yeah, I don't think we ever agreed to play them. Instead of scheduling Hawaii, Michigan instead struck a deal with App State, who didn't ask us to go there. WTG Bill Martin!

so you're syaing that they're using last year's results of Hawaii to determine this year's? Seems a bit unfair to me, no? Players can improve a lot in the offseason, and I"m sure they don't have the same exact team.

True. Their team may be worse.

They've had a cupcake schedule and been life and death several times. They have zero claim to the title game, and barely one to a BCS bowl.

Re: ***Official*** Mizzou vs. Oklahoma Thread

Wow...looks like its going to be an undeserving Ohio State team vs. an undeserving 2-loss team for the "championship" this year...and if the standings stay the way there are, it'll be a VERY undeserving Georgia team who didn't even make their conference's title game. This is a team who got SMOKED by Tennessee, which is a team that got SMOKED by CAL who just got beat by Stanford.

Meh, but why am I complaining? This might actually lead to some sort of playoff system.
