The original post of the chain said "some stores." It may be the fifth or sixth biggest sale day of the year in total, but some specific retailers could clear 50%. Nitpicking LDO.

[/ QUOTE ]

The only stores that have >50% of revenue on a single day are stores that are opened only two days per year.

50% of annual sales in one day? WTF, think before you type, lol.

Also, someone told me the other day that there will be stores opening Thursday evening this year. We're all going to hell and we probably deserve it.

LOL, yeah, there's no way this could possibly be accurate.

I plan on doing the 4am thing this year. Some of the deals are just too good to pass up. I'm looking forward to the Best Buy BF flyer.

what deals are you referring to? haven't seen anything super awesome yet (at least compared to previous years)

[/ QUOTE ]

They'll be in the inserts in your Sunday paper this week.

It's that time of year again. Time to fight those crowds of crazy people in order to get the best bargain possible on the dreaded day known as Black Friday.

We are one week away from the big event, and just so you can stay ahead of the game, here are some helpful links to get you started.

This year on my BF list is decent cheap laptop, GPS unit, and TV. I have been monitoring a couple of sites for the past two weeks or so, watching the new deals pop up for all of the stores.

This thread could be a good discussion of good deals that some of you are finding. Also helpful would be if any of you own some of the products that are going to be discounted on Friday, could give us your reviews on some items.

The day is drawing near, let the madness begin!

For the last 22 years I've spent black Friday on the deck of our Cancun time-share.

I'll have a margarita for you poor souls....

Solids and Heater ...

There is no need to wait the ads are already out there look at the links around here (although a couple of retailers got pissy this year and had theirs taken down.... Macys, Lowes, Wal-mart, Linen N Things, thankfully I don't look to them for turkey day sales).

Best Buy is out there look for it.

FWIW I work in the Fragrance Industry and it has been recorded that 50% of the entire industry's yearly sales occur in the last 2 weeks of the year.
