Is there such a thing as a 2+2 curse? I have not cashed in 14 straight tournaments since this post. I am only 3 way from my record of futility. [/ QUOTE ]meh, I have had 25 different streaks of 15+ non-cashes with a record or 45 and I am pretty good imho. |

Re: Question about ITM percentage
kind of a high jack, but at what point is sample size a good indicator? How many trnys is enough to give you a good idea where you stand?

[/ QUOTE ] the more you have, the more confidence you can have in your number. that being said ROI changes so dramaticly when you make a FT if you have less then 300 tourny. For example winning a 360 person tourny returns around 70 buy ins, this alone would give you a ROI of 30% if you never ever made it ITM except for this one time... if you didnt read above id be confident around 500 tournys. but very confident around 1000-1500 tourns of the same BI. |

[/ QUOTE ] my math is very wrong, was a long day at work and not thinking when i typed above. If you say a 1st = 70BI then if you got 1 first for every 35 tournys your ROI would be 100%... Since you will get in lesser pay outs at times it would increase. Either way i shouldnt have tried to make an example without concrete math. But still get 1k tournys under belt of same BI and you will be comfortable to know an ROI. |

For example, you would expect a higher ITM and lower ROI if you play mostly 2-table tournaments. Same should be true if you play a lot of satellites that award a large number of seats. [/ QUOTE ] ^^^ this. i absolutely hate that OPR doesn't separate satellites from non (or just not include satellites at all, for that matter). my ITM% on OPR is well over 30% because i've played a truly absurd amount of satellites that i cash in over 50% of the time. makes my stats look [censored] stupid |
Re: Question about ITM percentage
My itm% for the last 4 months has been just north of 14%. Obv that's terrible but when u win 1/4 of ur coinflips and get coolered more than frozen sausages (for fresh/funny material, turn on Leno). If u can avoid that, u can prob get up to 20%.
